Description

Explore Ripley's St. Augustine — the first and oldest Ripley’s Believe It or Not! Odditorium. Venture through 14 themed galleries featuring incredible art and artifacts, animal oddities, pop-culture memorabilia, interactive games, and remarkable stories of people and places.

Inside Ripley's Believe It or Not! St. Augustine, discover hundreds of unusual and fascinating artifacts collected by the world-famous traveler Robert Ripley, including real shrunken human heads, rosaries made of human bone, and a drum kit featuring two human skulls fused together and covered with human skin. Marvel at a replica of the International Space Station and a space shuttle made from thousands of matchsticks as you blast off to the bizarre world of space in the two-story Space Gallery exhibit. In the Jungle Room, virtually try on a tribal mask and create your own weird pet.

Explore the fascinating stories, original architecture, and dazzling details of this three-story castle built in 1887 — the very building that stole Robert Ripley’s heart and inspired his dream of opening the world’s first permanent Ripley collection. Although Ripley was a frequent visitor to St. Augustine and stayed in the building often, he did not create the museum. He died in 1949, and a year after his death, the Castle Warden was purchased as the ideal, uniquely glamorous building to house his collections.

Prepare to be amazed and entertained with a visit to this incredible St. Augustine museum.
