Today, visitors of all ages can experience what its prisoners’ lives were like under the penal system decades ago. Explore the cells, hear tales its infamous occupants by costumed actors, even get booked and try to escape on this historical tour.

When is the Old Jail open?It's open from 9:00AM - 5:30PM everyday. Tours are held daily with the last tour leaving at 4:30PM unless stated otherwise due to holiday operating hours.
How long do visitors tour the Old Jail?Guests usually take 30 minutes touring the halls, cell blocks, gallows and sheriff’s quarters of the old jail in St. Augustine, but you are free to roam the Old Jail Museum St Augustine.
Is the Old Jail wheelchair and stroller accessible?Yes, but it's limited to only the first floor and the outside perimeter. The close confines and historic features of the area limits wheelchair mobility.
Are pets allowed in the Old Jail?No, but they are allowed leashed on the outside grounds.
