Zoo Miami is the largest zoo in Florida and the fifth largest in the United States. Its lush, tropical, open-air exhibits replicate the animals' natural habitats and allow guests to enjoy beautiful and endangered wildlife at a safe, yet remarkably close, range. Visitors can see species from Asia, Australia, Africa, and the Americas. The zoo spans 750 acres, features 4 miles of walkways, and is home to more than 2,000 animals representing over 375 different species. Of this population, more than 130 species are at risk in the wild, many classified as endangered or critically endangered. The zoo also houses more than 750 species of trees, palms, and other plants, as well as over 100 special exhibits showcasing a broad variety of species and scientific topics.

Zoo Miami is operated by professional zookeepers and conservation experts and is accredited by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums (AZA), meeting rigorous standards for animal health, welfare, and global conservation. The zoo actively participates in about 30 conservation programs across five continents, making every visit meaningful for wildlife preservation.

Can I bring food and drinks inside the park?

Can we feed the animals?

Yes, for an additional fee onsite. You can also watch the zookeepers throughout the day talk about the animals and feed them. The animals are on strict diets and can only eat the food approved by veterinarians and prepared for them by their keepers.
