Flamingo Gardens is a one stop Eco Experience featuring the Wray Botanical Collection and the Everglades Wildlife Sanctuary. This 60 acre, not for profit, facility provides the perfect backdrop for the native species that reside here. You can study Alligators, Otters, Flamingos, Florida Panthers, Bobcats and a host of birds that inhabit our Free-Flight Aviary and Bird Center.

Specialty gardens and Florida's largest collection of Champion Trees set amidst the beauty of 200 year old Live Oaks leave you with a tranquil feeling of Florida the way it used to be. You can experience the past with a visit through the Wray Home, built in the early 1930s.

WRAY HOME MUSEUM
Built in 1933, this original weekend residence of Floyd & Jane Wray is now an historical site and museum providing a glimpse of life in South Florida in the 1930s.

BOTANICAL COLLECTION
The Wray Botanical Collection is 60 acres with over 3000 species of rare and exotic, tropical, subtropical & native plants. It features 20 of the largest trees of their species, Florida Champion Trees, including the largest tree in the state as certified by the Florida Forestry Service. Specialized gardens include the Butterfly, Hummingbird, Bromeliad and Croton Gardens. The centerpiece is a natural hammock of 200 year-old Live Oak trees dripping with orchids and epiphytes.

WILDLIFE SANCTUARY
The Everglades Wildlife Sanctuary is home to the largest collection of Florida native wildlife and includes Alligators, Bobcats, Otters, Eagles, Panthers, Peacocks, and of course, Flamingos! It is residence to over 90 species of birds and animals, most of which are permanently injured and/or non-releasable. The Bird of Prey Center features hawks, falcons, owls, osprey, and other raptors. The Free-Flight Aviary contains over 250 wading birds, representing 45+ species, making it one of the largest wading bird collections in the country.
